Although the concept of culture management remains an abstraction for many, it does have a real and profound impact on corporate success and profitability. Culture management focuses on identifying what the company culture really is, as opposed to what the company says or thinks it is, determining what the culture should be, and developing a plan to make it happen. Like any type of program involving organizational change, culture management generally faces three big challenges: executive support, old-school mentality and instilling the understanding that culture management is not a project, but a journey.
