414 Light Street lights up Baltimore with Pixelflex displays

February 22, 2019

Questar Properties has unveiled its 44-story residential tower 414 Light Street in Baltimore. The team crafted a rooftop deck on the exterior of the seventh floor, which features two HD FlexStorm 8-millimeter LED video displays from Pixelflex, according to a press release.

The company selected the displays to create a visual experience for the amenity area. The displays showcase movies, sporting events and information about the facility's events.

The FlexStorm solution is IP-65 rated to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, and comes with front-serviceable panels for easier maintenance, according to the release.

"The 16-panel LED video walls are mounted inside a structured wall that ties into the concrete slab underneath using a steel frame which attaches directly to the panels," Justin Kennell, development manager, Questar Properties, said in the release. "We surrounded the structure with decorative tile, and each screen measures approximately 16-feet wide and 9-feet high. One screen faces a multi-purpose lawn area and the other screen faces the pool deck, so it essentially looks as if there is one, dual-sided LED screen."
