As Amazon's Prime Day inches closer a consumer survey reveals what shoppers have been searching for and demographics about the Amazon Prime Day shopper.
More than half, 63%, are bargain shoppers and 17.9% are impulse shoppers, according to an Adlucent whitepaper, "Getting the Most out of Amazon Prime Day 2019."
The survey polled 1,000 U.S. consumers, ages 18 to 64. Of those planning to shop on Amazon Prime Day, approximately 72% will be looking outside of Amazon to comparison shop on other sites, noted the survey, which also predicts the event will be the biggest ever given the 20.5% increase in shoppers each year since Prime Day debuted in 2015.
