Aldi eyes Colorado expansion

Supermarket discount brand Aldi is reportedly looking into launching two Denver, Colorado, stores.

The company has applied for permits, according to a CBS News report, and has a roadmap for opening 50 stores in the next two years. The two Denver locations are 18453 E 57th Ave. and 9111 E 40th Ave. and were filed on July 1, according to Denver's Permitting and Licensing Center.

"One in three U.S. households shopped at ALDI this past year, and in 2026 we're focused on making it even easier for customers to shop our aisles first," Atty McGrath, CEO, ALDI U.S., told the news outlet. "That means bringing ALDI to even more neighborhoods, upgrading our website and planning additional distribution centers to keep our shelves stocked with the products our shoppers love."

Aldi plans to launch 180 stores across 31 states in 2026.
