Amazon 2nd Prime Day Oct. 11-12

Amazon will hold its second Prime Day sales extravaganza Oct. 11-12.

It is the first time the omnichannel retailer is holding Prime Day twice in the same year since it launched the annual event in 2015, according to a CNBC report.

It's calling the second event Prime Early Access Sale and it is only open to Prime subscribers.

The first event this year took place in the summer.

The news comes on the heels of CEO Andy Jassy stating in early September that he is pulling back on hiring after years of massive growth to keep up with pandemic demands.
