Amazon expands Prime Now restaurant delivery

San Francisco diners seeking a meal can now access a new restaurant delivery service launched by Amazon via its Prime Now program.

For a limited time it will be free one-hour delivery from local restaurants including Big Chef Tom's Belly Burgers, Buca di Beppo, DOSA, The Monk's Kettle and Pressed Juicery. Prime Now members can use the mobile app to browse participating restaurant menus, place order and track orders.

"San Francisco is known for incredible restaurants, and now Prime members across the city can enjoy their favorite local restaurants at home or at the office," said Gus Lopez, general manager, Amazon Restaurants, in an announcement. "With Prime Now Restaurant Delivery, customers can expect to pay the same price for their favorite dishes whether they visit the restaurant or order the same items for delivery. Prime Now has no hidden fees or menu markups, and delivery is free for a limited time."
