Financial Times reports that online retail giant Amazon is developing its own platform for accepting trade-ins of consumer electronics.
It has evidently entered a partnership with CExchange, a Web-based service that appraises consumer electronics online, and then lets customers ship the devices in for cash.
The move comes nearly a year after Amazon first entered the trade-in business with its video game trade-in program. It later expanded the offering to DVDs and textbooks.
