Amazon and fitness equipment maker Peloton are partnering to sell Peloton products on the e-commerce giant's marketplace.
It marks the first time Peloton is selling its wares via a third-party, according to a CNBC report, and likely just the first retail partnership for the company.
The news comes at rocky time for Peloton, which is striving to hit profitability. It will sell its initial bike as well as its Peloton Guide on Amazon.
There have been half a million searches on Amazon every month, prior to the partnership, for Peloton products, according to Peloton Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Cornils.
"Post-Covid, the retail environment — online and in stores — is continuing to evolve, and that's something that we're trying to understand better to make sure the Peloton of the future is calibrated appropriately for that," Cornils told CNBC. "We want to make it as easy as possible to get a Peloton," he said.
