Amazon launches an assistant to help with employee social distancing

Amazon, in a quest to keep employees healthy, is using a newly developed assistant technology to help workers adhere to social distancing rules.

The Distance Assistant offers live feedback on social distancing using a 50-inch monitor, camera, and sensors, according to a Good Morning America report.

It can detect the distance between people in a workplace environment.

Amazon has placed several assistants in several buildings and expects to deploy hundreds more in the next month, according to the report.
