Amazon's drone strategy may include developing drones that respond to a customer's call or wave.
The gesture-based technology, according to a New York Post report, are laid out in a patent and include shouting, fast arm waving and a thumbs-up signal movements.
Such movements, according to the report, could boost the delivery experience by allowing customers to help a drone avoid crashing or instruct the drone to drop a parcel when in the right spot.
"The human recipient and/or the other humans can communicate with the vehicle using human gestures to aid the vehicle along its path to the delivery location," the patent stated, according to the Post.
