Online retailer Amazon is prepping a new one-million-square foot fulfillment center in Colorado, its first picking and shipping center in the state and one that will create 1,000 jobs.
There is no specific opening date for the Aurora-based facility, according to a press release. Amazon already operates a sortation center in Aurora.
"We are excited to create 1,000 new full-time jobs in Colorado that pay 30 percent higher than traditional retail jobs and receive comprehensive benefits starting on day one," Akash Chauhan, Amazon's VP, North America operations, said in a release.
