Animal Supply launches fulfillment, delivery for independent pet retailers

Animal Supply Co., an Irving, Texas-based pet food distributor, has launched the Animal Supply Connect platform, which offers digital e-commerce fulfillment and delivery services for independent pet stores nationwide.

The platform will allow consumers to shop online at independent pet stores and have their purchases delivered in about two business days.

"Our priority is helping the independent pet channel compete in a dynamic market," Animal Supply CEO Don McIntyre said in the release. "Connect takes the hassle out of servicing the online shopper by caring for e-commerce logistics and providing the rapid delivery services consumers expect."

The launch comes less than six months after Animal Supply Co. announced the launch of its mobile app, which allows customers to scan store barcodes with their mobile device to search the company catalog.
