Amazon plans to open another fulfillment center in Nevada, adding another 1,000 full-time associates to the already 3,000 it employs in the state at three other facilities.
The mega omnichannel retailer's fourth center will open in North Las Vegas, according to a press release.
"This is good news for our state and for North Las Vegas," Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval said in the release. "With the creation of a new 800,000-square-foot fulfillment center, Amazon will help create an additional one thousand jobs in Nevada. Amazon has been a partner with Nevada in helping to grow our economy, and I am pleased that they will continue to be a partner with us into the future."
Amazon employees at the more than 800,000-square-foot fulfillment center will pick, pack and ship small items to customers such as books, household items and toys.
