Apple opens five new stores, including first in Alaska

MacRumors reports five new Apple stores are opening on Saturday, including the first Apple store in the state of Alaska.

Along with the store in Anchorage, Ala., Apple will be opening three international stores in Canada, Australia and Italy, and one in Murray, Utah. The store in Canada is notable as it's being opened in Waterloo, Ontario, which is the home of rival Research in Motion, the manufacturer of BlackBerry devices.

According to the MacRumors story, Apple will be opening 30 new locations in the next two months and will have more than 360 locations around the world by the end of September.
