Apple shutters China stores in wake of coronavirus outbreak

Apple is closing all its mainland China locations, through Feb. 9, in reaction to the spread of the coronavirus.

The move, according to a statement released this weekend by Apple, is a precautionary effort.

"Out of an abundance of caution and based on the latest advice from leading health experts, we're closing all our corporate offices, stores and contact centers in mainland China through Feb. 9," said the statement, according to a CNBC report.
