As Seen on TV is now seen on mobile devices

"As Seen on TV" may no longer be an accurate moniker.

As Seen on TV, Inc., the nameplate for a wide variety of consumer products like the "Perfect Meat Loaf Pan" and "Pajama Jeans," announced a new partnership with payment processor PowerPay. The deal gives consumers the ability to purchase gadgets and gizmos on their smartphones direct from the manufacturer. It also lets As Seen on TV marketers accept payment through PowerPay’s mobile processing solution via a mobile application.

“With the explosion of smart phones and mobile apps, it was clear that over the next few years consumers would use mobile applications to do things they previously did through touchtone phone or online,” said Brad Feldman, founder of the mobile platform for As Seen on TV, Inc., in the announcement.

“In order to be competitive, we needed to develop our own mobile app for marketers to sell products to their consumers," Feldman said.

In the announcement of the partnership, PowerPay's President and COO Jim Raftice said his company believes its mobile processing solution will enhance As Seen on TV's payment acceptance capabilities as well as increase revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
