As summer starts Target gears up for back-to-school season

With most schools now officially out for the summer Target is already thinking about late August when those same students are lamenting the end of summer.

The retailer is expanding its uniform selection and debuting a "More Than Magic" 'tween girl brand, according to a USA Today report. It also plans to have new "back to college" merchandise sections in more than 700 locations near colleges and universities.

"Whether you’re picking out crayons and glue sticks for your soon-to-be-kindergartener or decking out a dorm room with your college freshman, Target has everything you need to conquer your list, fast and on budget," stated Jill Sando, Target senior vice president and general merchandise manager of apparel, accessories and home, in a statement, according to the report.
