ASOS, Klarna expand flex pay options to US customers

August 13, 2019

Fashion retailer Asos is expanding its partnership with payments provider Klarna to offer flexible payment options in the U.S.

The retailer, which sells over 850 brands as well as its own brand of clothing and accessories, has worked with Klarna since 2016 to offer flex pay choices to U.K. customers, according to a press release.

"At ASOS we want to give our customers choice in everything we do whether that is in the broad range of ASOS Design and branded products, smooth and fast delivery options or payment options. We know these are all important to our customers — the addition of Klarna as a payment method in the US will help provide the best customer experience for our U.S. customers," said Eve Williams, brand experience director, ASOS, in the release.

Customers can now choose either to pay with four equal payments collected biweekly or in 30 days – with no interest or fees.

"Extending the ASOS partnership into the US speaks to Klarna’s global reputation among both its brand partners and customers," said Michael Rouse, chief commercial officer of Klarna, in the release. "ASOS offers an accessible shopping experience. Paired with Klarna’s smoooth user experience and capabilities, customers in both the US and UK are now able to experiment and express themselves in the latest fashions with confidence."
