Best Buy to customers: Wear a mask

Best Buy is requiring shoppers to wear face masks in stores due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the fact many states are seeing record-breaking numbers of infections.

The news comes right after Starbucks announced last week that it is mandating masks on customers, as is wholesaler Costco.

The Best Buy policy is now in effect at all of the company's 1,000 stores nationwide, according to a CNN report.

Best Buy is placing specific team members at entranceways to remind shoppers a mask is needed as they enter and provide ones to consumers who need one.

Walmart and its Sam's Club is also now requiring masks on consumers and it has created a store health ambassador in a similar fashion, according to New York Post report.
