Bon Ton names new CEO, board chair

The Bon Ton Stores chain has named Debra K. Simon as board chairman and William Tracy as new president and CEO.

Current board chair and strategic initiatives officer Tim Grumbacher has officially retired, according to a Penn Live report. He will remain as chairman emeritus and CEO advisor. Simon, who is Grumbacher's spouse, has been on the board for one year. Tracy is filling the role held by Kathryn Bufano, who is resigning as of August 25.

A company general merchandise manager, Chad Stauffer, has been named executive vice president/chief merchandising officer, according to the report.
