Canadian retailer taps Fluent system for order fulfillment strategy

The Aldo Group, a Canadian multinational retailer, is deploying the Order Management System, from Fluent Commerce, in a quest to simply the direct-to-consumer customer experience and create an intelligent supply chain for omnichannel order fulfillment.

Aldo Group operates a worldwide chain of shoe and accessories stores, numbering more than 1,500, and celebrated 50 years in business last year, according to a press release.

Immediate advantages include the ability to open and manage orders from any sales channel and to coordinate the fulfillment process across all client touchpoints. In addition, customers can check which products are in stock before visiting a shop or making an online purchase, thus improving the overall customer experience.

"When it came to selecting an OMS, the flexibility of Fluent Commerce's offering stood out," Matthieu Houle, CIO at Aldo Group, said in the release. "We need a platform that will not only meet the consumer expectations of today, but tomorrow's as well. That requires it to have the potential to exceed expectations as we grow the business, and we found Fluent Commerce's product has that."
