Carve Designs launches swim quiz to help customers find best suit

Carve Designs is using AI to help customers find the best swimwear choice.

The AI tool is being used in the retailer's swim quiz feature and aimed at improving the customer experience, according to a press release.

The quiz, which runs on Octane AI, collects information about style, lifestyle and fit preference to provide product recommendations.

Since deployment customers who have taken the quiz have a 3x higher conversion rate compared to shoppers not using the quiz. Of those who start the Swim Quiz, over 80% complete the quiz and make it to the results page.

"We know that finding the right fit can be intimidating, especially when shopping for swimsuits, and so we've put a lot of thought and energy into creating a line that is not only made to fit real women's bodies but is also easy to shop," Jennifer Hinton, Carve Designs co-founder, said in the release.

In addition, all Carve Design's product pages use Wair Fit Predictor Technology, making it easier to choose the right size when picking out a swimsuit or clothing.

"There is a lot of information out there for customers to sift through, so offering a way for them to digest our product line and giving them personalized style and size recommendations is going to drastically change their online shopping experience and confidence in the brand, for the better," Thayer Sylvester, CEO and co-founder, said in the release.

Carve Designs launched in 2003 as a beach apparel company selling rash guards and board shorts, and evolved into a complete outdoor lifestyle brand offering surf, swim and lifestyle clothing.
