Celerant unveils new browser-based retail management tool

Celerant Technology today announced at the NRF Convention & EXPO its new retail management system, Stratus Retail. According to the company, this entry into Celerant’s line of integrated solutions allows retailers the freedom to access the complete functionality of a turnkey POS suite through Web-browsing software on any Internet-enabled device, including tablets and smart phones.

"We developed Stratus Retail to run without compromise or limitation on most any Internet-enabled mobile device, while still having the option to utilize legacy POS devices," said Celerant CEO Ian Goldman. "Our retail clients that implement this new platform will see a significant decrease in overall costs and labor compared to a traditional setup; savings that come from reduced hardware, installation, administration and maintenance expenditures."

The full rollout of Stratus Retail was initiated today with Stratus POS, which can stand alone or integrate seamlessly with existing Celerant Command e-commerce and mobile commerce suites. Updates to Stratus Retail that include full back-end functionality are scheduled for release during 2014.
