Chanel’s New York flagship store, its largest boutique in the U.S., is sporting a special fashion accessory just in time for holiday: a 60-foot-long double-strand pearl necklace.
The 14,000-square-foot store, at 15 E. 57th St., offers accessories, jewelry and beauty products as well as an exclusive bag and scent created for its renovated space. The interior, according to a New York Post report, was designed by Peter Marino and inspired by Chanel founder, Coco Chanel, and her apartment and iconic flair.
The necklace reflects one of Chanel’s favorite fashion accessories, according to the report, and was created by Jean-Michel Othoniels. It cascades down the store’s primary stairway.
