Christmas can't come soon enough for a London retailer

A London department store has launched its Christmas Shop well before back-to-school shopping has ended.

The Selfridge store boasts more than 500 items, from tree décor to decorations, and said it jumped the shark with its holiday push because consumers want it, according to a New York Post report.

The retailer plans to expand its Christmas Shop in early September, boosting the holiday product number to nearly 4,000.
