Consumers not real eager for voice shopping option

While there is lots of buzz about voice assistant technology in the retail and consumer purchase experience industry expectations aren't too robust about consumer use.

In fact even consumers who do try voice-related purchasing, according to The Information, which reports just about 2 percent of those owning Amazon's Echo devices have bought something using the voice approach this year.

A greater number, about 20 percent, have asked the Alexa assistant for insight on deals and purchase tracking.
