The first quarter of 2026 reveals Costco hit record-breaking sales in what industry watchers state was a stronger than expected earning period.

Costco reported revenue of $67.31 billion, and earnings came in at $4.50 per share, topping estimates of $4.27.

In its earnings call Costco CFO Gary Millerchip noted several "fun facts," about the holiday season, according to a Fox Business report.

  • Pizza popularity: 358,000 were served at U.S. food courts, a 31% jump over 2024.
  • Thanksgiving: 4.5 million pies sold in the three days before Thanksgiving.
  • Black Friday: More than $250 million in non-food online orders — a record for Costco's U.S. e-commerce business.
  • Costco is also suing the federal government to block President Donald Trump's emergency tariffs and recover the funds the retailer says it was improperly required to pay for imported goods.

The news comes on the heels of Costco suing the Trump administration claiming President Donald Trump exceeded executive authoring in enacting tariffs and misused the International Emergency Economic Power Act.
