Crisp acquires Shelf Engine to support retail forecasting, inventory management

Crisp, a provider of retail data solutions, has acquired Shelf Engine, an AI-powered in-demand forecasting and automated ordering technology.

Crisp will integrate Shelf Engine's algorithms onto the Crisp collaborative commerce platform, empowering retailers to optimize in-stock inventory across retailers, reduce food waste, improve shelf management and drive revenue in an increasingly margin-sensitive retail environment, according to a press release.

"Retailers are going through a digital transformation. Integrating Shelf Engine's comprehensive demand data into our platform will empower retailers to make real-time inventory decisions that directly impact," Are Traasdahl, CEO and founder of Crisp, said in the release.
