The latest generation of Epicor Software’s Eagle N SeriesT offering now boasts tools to help retailers aiming to streamline inventory management, attain deeper data analytics and integrate charitable donation activity into the customer experience.
The technology, which is aimed at small to midsize retailers, has been upgraded to include dozens of enhancements and customers are already reaping the rewards, according to an announcement.
One is Lee's Home Center, a full-service home center providing high-quality hardware, paint, lumber, and garden supply products in the St. Louis, Missouri, area, which is now using the new charitable donations functionality at each point-of-sale station.
"Businesses have many different reasons for charitable giving, and, since our founding, Lee's Home Center has made it an integral part of operations and connection to the community," said Dan Vogel, IT manager for Lee's Home Center. "The application allows us to effortlessly designate which local and national charities are a good fit for us and integrate the process throughout our operations in a straightforward manner. On the backend, managing our financial donations is much easier because it helps us stay on top of where, when and how much we are donating. Our consumers have enjoyed this feature because it gives them visibility into what we are involved in and where they can contribute. It makes offering goodwill donations simple."
The additional analytical tools, such as the Vendor Report Card tool, let retailers analyze analytics with objective information assembled.
"The Vendor Report Card tool is designed to help buyers report on vendor performance and track improvements over time. The report is concise, yet rich in key performance indicators (KPIs) that can easily be shared and discussed with sales representatives," said Kyle Little, IT and eCommerce manager for Little Hardware Company. "This tool also helps retailers track participation in buying programs, contracts with vendors, and claims or allowances for marketing."
"Strong retail business management processes and efficiencies are vital to ensure profitability and growth in the small to midsized retail industry," said Doug Smith, director of product management and marketing, Epicor Americas. "The new version of Epicor Eagle N Series software empowers retailers by driving them forward with efficient, affordable, and intuitive technology to manage operations now and in the future."
