August 29, 2017

Jeff Jones, an ex-Target marketing executive and a former senior leader at Uber, will take the helm of CEO at H&R Block come October.

Jones told the Star Tribune that the tax preparation conglomerate, which boasts $3 billion in revenue each year, is "on great footing," and getting "its swagger back."

Jones served at Target's CMO for four years, from 2012 to 2016, leaving in mid year of 2016 to join Uber.

"One of our core corporate values is 'We Do the Right Thing,' " Robert Gerard, H&R board chairman, said in a statement, according to the Tribune. "There are few people who embody this more than Jeff. He is a transformational leader, one who deeply understands today's consumer and who knows how to drive results in large-scale operations."
