Fashion retailer returning to Long Island, New York

Charlotte Russe, a women's clothing store, expects to open 100 stores, with two on Long Island, New York.

The news comes after the chain shuttered all its locations, more than 500 stores, earlier this year, according to a Newsday report, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The Long Island shops will open in the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove and the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City.

"We are thrilled to be bringing Charlotte Russe retail outlets back for customers who love the brand's affordable on-trend fashions," Eric Grundy, CEO of YM Inc., said in a statement, according to the report. "We are excited to be back and hiring."
