FieldPower apps now available on tablets

FieldPower, a provider of field service management, and Knowella Technologies, have entered into a partnership. Under the terms, FieldPower's workforce management software will now be available on a range of lightweight rugged tablet devices offered by Knowella Technologies, according to a company press release.

FieldPower, a workforce automation solution, helps service companies to better manage their field workforce. Knowella Technologies provides tablet PCs for mobile professionals in industries including retail kiosks, hospitality POS, healthcare, government and field force automation.

The partnership provides an opportunity for both companies to offer multiple solutions available on one hardware platform and will reduce overall customer costs and provide a dual role hardware/software solution, said Ganesh Ramakrishnan, vice president, business development for Fieldpower.

"Our combined solution empowers the field force through lighter devices that are cost effective and addresses different verticals such Telecom, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Transportation, Utilities," he said. "This strategic partnership will strengthen to serve the depth and breadth of the field service markets."

Todd Wessels, vice president of Knowella Technologies said the partnership allows him to more easily match hardware solutions to customers' requirements since the software is platform agnostic.

"But even the best software package relies on dependable hardware. FieldPower has done their job and Knowella Technologies has used all resources to make sure that we hold up our end of the bargain by making sure we deliver the best hardware solutions," he said. "Our customers can begin calling us right away to experience the business value of this full hardware and software solution beginning today."

The company is developing a dedicated sales team devoted to FieldPower Software solutions that will be fully implemented within the next 90 days.
