Grocers Food Lion and Bloom are getting aggressive with their private-label products, says Progressive Grocer. In a marketing campaign that runs through Feb. 2, customers that buy qualifying private-label brands and use their loyalty cards will receive vouchers good on future purchases, for up to $10.
According to the report, the campaign began on Jan. 6, and customers were given $180,000 in free groceries in the first week alone.
