American Apparel has named Paul Charron as chairman of its board of directors.

American Apparel has named Paul Charron as chairman of its board of directors.

Charron served as board chairman for Campbell Soup for six years and is a former ex-CEO of Liz Claiborne. He retired from Claiborne in 2006 after 11 years and is one of three new leaders joining American Apparel's board. The two others are Susan Davidson and Bruce Fetter, according to a Fortune report.
