Jerome's Furniture wants its customers to know where their furniture is, and has launched a smart tracker service to provide customers insight on the delivery journey.
The "Uber-style" web map interface notifies customers when the delivery truck is in route and offers a countdown timer, according to a press release.
"Smart Tracker is a perfect extension of our ‘Real Family Values' promise," said Scott Perry, senior vice president of digital and IT for Jerome's Furniture, in the release. "Engaging our customers before, during and after the buying process ensures we exceed their expectations. For us, putting customers first isn't just a casual phrase we use, but central to our core values."
Jerome's developed the program in partnership with Glympse, a location sharing technology.
"Customers deserve clear insight about when a delivery will arrive so they can plan their day better and spend less time waiting," said David Troll, senior vice president of sales and customer operations at Glympse. "By partnering with Glympse to empower customers with a live map view and a more precise estimated time of arrival, Jerome's is reinforcing its strong commitment to providing world class customer experiences."
