Furniture Wizard Software, providers of technology solutions tailored to furniture retailers, announced that it will showcase its latest point-of-sale experience at the Las Vegas Market show, July 29 through Aug. 2.
The solution features a touchscreen kiosk that customers can use to browse in-stock items and special-order inventory. Martin Fischbein, founder and president of Furniture Wizard Software, said the kiosk will be used by retailers in two ways. It can act as a catalog station and handle a transaction from start to finish, allowing associates to show add-on items along the way. The second method will be used in conjunction with the company's iFurniture iPad application.
"After a sales associate gathers order information on the iPad they can make a stop at the Kiosk to review the order, giving them a second chance to sell the higher margin add-on items in the review process," he said. "The use of the kiosk will increase sales and profit by raising the attachment rate of add-on items helping retailers be more profitable."
