Video game retailer GameStop Corp. today announced, in partnership with Adgregate Markets, a social commerce solutions company, the launch of its Facebook storefront. GameStop is the first multichannel gaming company to offer a storefront on Facebook for its consumers.
Adgregate’s proprietary solution, ShopFans, will offer fans secure shopping, “pre-order” capabilities and redeemable points for purchasing online through the PowerUp Rewards program.
“Social commerce on Facebook is a natural complement to our trusted store and online networks,” said Kelly Mulroney, vice president of ecommerce at GameStop. “We have millions of customers already engaging with us on Facebook, and ShopFans gives those loyal fans more reasons than ever to shop GameStop across multiple channels.”
The Facebook storefeatures product videos, reviews and ratings, store finders, product carousels and likes and shares.
