GameStop shuttering nearly 200 stores

GameStop expects to close nearly 200 stores by the end of its fiscal year and the figure may actually be higher. The closures are due to poor sales performance and weak second quarter earnings reported, according to a CNBC report.

The retailer has 5,700 stores worldwide and for every location there are two other stores within five miles, according to CNBC, which cited data from Thinknum.
