Godiva will close all its 128 North America locations by the end of March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It plans to keep locations in Europe, China and the Middle East open for business, according to a Cleveland.com report.

Consumer shopping behavior during the pandemic was cited as the prime reason as shoppers have increasingly moved to e-commerce channels, according to a company statement.

The confectioner will continue to sell its products at partner retailers, grocery stores and online, according to the report.
