Google has added local availability results to its product search, the company announced today on its retail blog. In the works since March, the service lets users search for products, then filter the results based on which local shops have them in stock.
The service is a partnership with 70 retail brands, including Williams-Sonoma, Office Depot and Best Buy.
The search giant is also partnering with some notable retail software providers, such as JDA, Epicor and Oracle, enabling them to create tools that will allow other retailers to add their products to search results.
