Roundy's CEO retiring come September

Bob Mariano, a veteran in the grocery business, has announced retirement as of September 1.

Most recently, Mariano served as CEO of Roundy's, a Milwaukee-based grocery store purchased by The Kroger Co, last December.

Mariano's career began in 1967 as a part-time deli clerk at Dominick’s supermarket in Chicago, where he eventually became CEO in 1995. Additionally, Mariano was responsible for the launch of the 'Metro Market' concept as well as the Mariano's chain stores.
