Groupon has announced the launch of Freebies on iOS devices, which the company said creates the most widely distributed mobile coupon destination in the United States.
Launched in late 2013, Groupon’s Freebies now includes more than 30,000 digital coupons, promotion codes, sales, giveaways and samples redeemable online or in-store via mobile devices from more than 6,000 national brands, spanning more than 245,000 physical locations.
“By adding Freebies to our popular mobile app, we’re giving shoppers more ways to save money on the go without having to clip any coupons,” said Sean Smyth, VP and GM at Freebies. “And, with more than 80 million downloads globally, we’re giving brands an enormous platform to drive customers to their mobile app, online store or physical location.”
According to the company, the Freebies mobile platform has built-in iMessage SMS, Facebook and Twitter integration to enable consumers to easily share the best deals from their favorite brands with family and friends.
