Hershey CEO leaving post next July

Hershey Co. CEO John Bilbrey will retire from his post July 1.

The leadership change could impact the chocolate maker's financials, according to a Reuters report, given recent events such as a failed acquisition by Mondelez International Inc. this year.

During the five years that Bilbrey served as CEO, the company doubled its market value, grew its U.S. market share and began diversifying into snack sales.
