Hershey hires Mary Beth West as chief growth officer, SVP

Former J.C. Penney executive Mary Beth West is taking on the role of senior VP and chief growth officer for The Hershey Co.

West, who starts her new job on May 1, will oversee growth strategy, marketing excellence, innovation, research and development as well as mergers and acquisitions, according to a Food Business report.

West has also served as a leader at Mondelez International Inc. (Kraft Foods).
