It was a happy, happy holiday season for the world's biggest etailer.

More than 3 million new subscribers joined Amazon's Prime membership ranks in the third week of December and Amazon's device sales doubled this holiday season compared to last year's record-setting holiday sales.
The biggest and busiest Prime Now timeframe was Christmas Eve, with the last holiday order delivered at 11:59 p.m. in San Antonio, Texas, according to a company press release.
The etailer's 21st holiday sales season reflected a lot of shopper interest in Amazon's latest Fire tablet, which proved to be the highest selling and most wished-for product. The tablet debuted on Amazon 15 weeks ago.
"This was another great holiday season to be a Prime member," said Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com, in a release.
