Home Depot hiring big for busiest season

The Home Depot will hire 80,000 store associates to handle its busiest season of the year — spring.

Job seekers can apply for full-time and part-time roles and a good number of the part-time hires will staff the brand's garden center, according to a press release.

According to Home Depot, 90% of the U.S. population lives within a 10-mile radius of their stores.

The company is hiring for overnight freight, merchandising and other customer service roles across store departments, as well as warehouse associates for its distribution centers. It provides training programs and tools, including a gamified mobile app, e-learning, and on-the-job coaching in the hiring process, according to the release.
