The convenience store 7-Eleven has arrived in Mumbai, India thanks to the country's richest resident.
Mukesh Ambani's commerce business, Reliance Retail, has opened the first store and plans a roll out in key areas and commercial locations, according to a CNN report. The stores will sell drinks and snacks customized based on local preferences.
Ambani has a net worth of $99.1 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
In a statement, Ambani said Reliance Retail was "proud" to team up with 7-Eleven, and Joe DePinto, CEO of SEI, the owner of 7-Eleven, said it was an "ideal time" for the convenience retailer to open in India.
