J Crew, Ulta Beauty join buy now, pay later platform

Afterpay Touch Group, a fintech that allows merchants to offer "Buy Now, Pay Later" financing to consumers, announced the addition of J. Crew and Ulta Beauty to its platform, with plans to launch between this fall and the early 2020.
The Afterpay platform gives more than 6,500 beauty and fashion retailers the ability to offer consumers the chance to make up to four installment payments on purchases, according to a press release.
"We are thrilled to partner with Ulta Beauty and J. Crew, to enable them to offer buy now, pay later services to their customers," Nick Molnar, co-founder and U.S. CEO of Afterpay, said in the release. "We have seen great success in the U.S. market, supported by the best American retail partners, and we look forward to continuing this momentum with retailers and consumers alike as we continue into the fall.”
Earlier this month, the company offered its second biannual Afterpay Day promotion, which provides special discounts and promotions to customers from retailers selling on the platform.
