Japan Airlines is planning to deploy humanoid robots this month to work as baggage handlers at a Tokyo airport.

The initial deployment is a trial run, according to a report at The Guardian.

The airline is working with GMO AI & Robotics Trading on the robotic experiment.

The robots, manufactured by Unitree, will process luggage and cargo at the Haneda airport for the next two years and can work for two to three hours before needing to be charged.
