J.C. Penney prepping to hire on seasonal workforce

Not only is J.C. Penney hiring on a good number of seasonal employees for the holiday sales time, it's also increasing warehouse and distribution center workforces.

The retailer is expected to pull in 40,000 new workers for the holiday time, a 10,000-person boost compared to 2015, according to a Dallas News -preport.

It expects to put 2,000 of those new employees to work handling ecommerce orders, according to the report.
